1. Why Bootstrap?

Bootstrapping uses the observed data to simulate resampling from the population. This produces a large number of bootstrap resamples. We can calculate a statistic for each bootstrap resample and use the distribution of the simulated statistics to approximate characteristics of the population. This video lays the foundation for later bootstrap videos.

  1. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I'm amazed to see you write in that manner, which kind of reminded me of Da Vinci's mirrored writing.

    I've only recently known about bootstrapping and intend to know more. Some people said that bootstrapping is the "non-parametric equivalent of multiple regression".
    I would really appreciate if you could share your opinion concerning this claim. 🙂
