In this subscriber request video I will explain the difference between the 2D and 3D textures that can be found in the Maya Hypershade.
I do want to give credit to Digital Tutors as I know there is a video very similar to this one on their website.

thank u
Hey! Brilliant tutorial! I'm having a slight issue regarding 2D texture placement with something I'm working on. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. 🙂
I'm making a jar of jelly beans, and some of the beans have the Stucco texture applied. The beans need to freefall into the jar. When the beans move though, the texture doesn't move with the bean. I'm guessing the texture is being projected, but I've no idea how to go about fixing this. It's probably something really simple that I've missed. If you need more info from me about the scene, let me know. Thanks in advance! 🙂
Can you make people textures ? please
Is Maya your favorite 3D tool to use?
can u please upload a tutorial on realistic texturing on houses…which can be mainly seen in movies….
I am current using maya 2014, what is your advice, change to 2015? Is worth it?
Hi Mike:
With the 2D texture is it possible to modify it some how to get rid of the seam. Does the size of the texture have any influence on the seam at all. You hear of seamless textures.
