This is my first video tutorial, in this tutorial. I’ve explained how to convert a 2D image to 3D model using blender and inkscape.
2D image cannot be loaded directly into blender so, I have used inkscape to convert it to SVG. Then, I have imported the SVG to blender and have extruded it to make it three dimentional. Both Inkscape and Blender are free to use.

Used this process to convert a celtic triquetra to a model. Now I can do some 3D editing before printing it with my 3D printer.
