Good video! The people in Hanoi seem so nice and friendly, I don't see as many smiles where I live! I also really enjoyed your letter to your 12 year old self post.

With a smile you go along way to make people more comfortable. Interesting and entertaining. Touching your subject before photographing is interesting… perhaps not a good idea though; if you photograph Women, Children, Tigers or Donald Trump. 🙂
Vietnam has not really changed in the last 50 years… Maybe there are a few spots downtown where the Chinese have spent money on new office buildings but look around and most of the buildings and businesses in the outskirts of town and in the country are stagnant. Only things missing are the hookers on the streets and the old ladies with black teeth chewing beetle-nut sweeping the streets.
