So I’ve created another character.
Going from 2d to 3d is quite difficult, especially with anime style characters. In this tutorial I’m showing you my approach to modelling. The recording is speed up about four times, so the whole process took about 4 hours.

So I’ll cover modelling of the face, hair, some cloths and set up some simple shading.

I’m using Blender but feel free to use any Software you are comfortable with for your projects.

Hope this helps!

  1. how did you make the back and top of the hair blend so well when mirroring it? with my models hair you can see a line and can't seem to make it blend together properly when i try to adjust it, but yours is smooth like it's not even being mirrored. thanks!!! do i just need to keep adjusting until they blend well?
