3D LUT Creator Gets a Very Welcomed Update With Powerful New Features

[ad_1]

One of the many reasons I love this great color grading tool (as I’ve already written about) is that the creator, Oleg, is very good at listening to requests and creating or adding new features, while fixing minor bugs along the way in a much more responsive manner than what I’ve seen from the big companies. I’m happy to see the new 1.42 update released today.

Some of the new features include:

  • Three-way color correction like what we are used to seeing in DaVinci, Capture One, or most video editing software’s color grading panels.
  • Loading of DCP profiles from Adobe Camera Raw, Lightroom, etc.
  • Loading and saving of abstract ICC profiles.
  • New LUT curve analyzer mode with opposite colors.
  • Randomize feature now on the powerful A/B grid.
  • D-Log curve for my favorite drones: the DJI Phantom 3 and DJI Phantom 4 Pro. This is a very welcomed thing to include.
  • Many bug fixes and performance enhancements.

Even after just a few hours of working with this new version, I already am very pleased with the performance, especially on MacOS, where this program has been traditionally a bit slower.

You can download a trial version or update your licensed version through the 3D LUT website.
