This is a beginner’s tutorial for modeling a head alone (no body) using photo references. Please note that this modeling process is just for following a reference and not for video game.
There are many approaches to 3D modeling. You can start with a cube, add edge loops and model that way. I like to start by defining the eye socket and extruding from there.

good job sir!
34:46 – making a timestamp as to where I left off
An interesting approach…
My extrude tool seems to have a limit. When attempting to extrude the long part down the nose, it will only go about a centimeter and I can't pull it down any further. I can pull it up into a black shape though.
I can't bridge edges. Every time I click on the bridge tool it shows error "Invalid Selection. The number of components in the selected regions must be the same."
Super Helpful! Thanks so much
You explain it very well! I wish I had a teacher like you! My greetings from Ecuador!
Thank you
Man, if u can in the next tutorial edit the video and write the commands, this will help a lot, thanks (I'm sorry but I'm learning english yet)
Thank you. There's hundreds of training videos but it's so sad that only a few will make any sense. You did a GREAT job. Once more thank you…
Thank a lot for this step by step brief tutorial. I successfully made a model. *Thumbs up.
When I extrude, it has a opaque colour. Is there any way to make it transparent?
what about ear
I was wondering, I know the basic face loops and the difference between disney and real human face loops. The 1 thing that confuses me is, a basic face you could do a face paint of the reference face? or do you have to have the reference face loops done correctly like this angelina jolie wireframe ( http://share.pho.to/AJVPF)
why u placed -12 on Z-axis and -12 on X axis ?
Why whats the difference? why we cant use it for video game production??
super
at the 5.59 time, when i extrude, + R it extrudes differently than in our video. it seems like im just dragging, or extruding with W.. what am i doing wrong?
thqqq soo much
