In this training Video I go through the workflow for rendering out dual camera stacked stereo movies out of Maya 2017.
Here are the pieces of that you will need:
1. Maya 2017 (Free for Teachers/Students, 15 Day trial)
http://www.autodesk.com/products/maya/free-trial-dts?s_tnt=69293:1:0
2. DomeMaster3D (Make sure you download Maya 2017 version)

3. Spacial Media Metadata Injector (Injects VR Metadata for Youtube) ITS UNDER STEP 2 TAB

4. NukeX (15 day trial or NukeNC for free (Limit 1080 Outputs though)

5. A Youtube account for uploading
6. Google Cardboard or Preview in Chrome Only.

By the way, there is a Maya plugin (get a good video card)
that will allow preview of Stereo animation before rendering.

How do I manage to not have the Arnold Watermark in my renders ? I also use the Educational licence
Hello Mathew, thanks for sharing!
My question is much simple. I'd like just to turn my 360 jpg render from Maya (using the same steps as described in the video) in a recognizable spherical image for posting on Facebook. Do you know how can I do this somehow? I believe that a built in metadata is needed for this case as well.
Thank you so much Matthew. It was very helpful.
