An inside look at the big CG event that everyone flocks to every year. In this video I ask some fellow attendees why they came and whether or not it’s worth the cost. Photos: http://www.blenderguru.com/articles/5-important-discoveries-siggraph-2014

The good thing is that even if you are a smart guy, everything looks funny around you. Please keep posting!

Woah this is so cool! It's always so inspiring to get a glimpse into how these VFX for the video game and movie industry are made – and oh man the 3D printing!
Dang, I guess this means I missed it this year…
Lol I love the escalator shot!
Does anyone know the name of the song? 😮
4:40 I dunno.. .. sounds like an absolute sausage party.
The blond girl is awesome please share with us her phone number Lol
1:23 OMG what a beautiful lady!!
Nice job Andrew. You gave us a taste of this huge event. May be I will attend if it comes to the US East Coast.
So cool……
Wow! This looks incredible, this is when i wish i didn't live so far from america!
That's pretty awesome. I never knew Siggraph had all that awesome stuff. I'm planning on attending GDC next year but I'll definitely have to make a trip out to LA for Siggraph 2015, I'm only about an hour away.
why blender developers are so sad? )))
Andrew, i bet you were the funniest nut on siggraph 😄 youre so funny man 👍
@1:22– She gave my skeleton an extra armature, if you know what I mean.
what's the music in the cut scenes, please?
Thanks for for putting this up for all of us that could not go to Siggraph Andrew.
Thanks for getting the gear together and giving us a look inside. Enjoy your stay in Canada! 🙂
Make that, NOT TO FAR AWAY. 🙂
I am completely envious! Not only are you at Siggraph but right next to my home town of Bellingham WA while I am stuck here in Germany. On the other hand Amsterdam is to that far away. Perhaps I will see you there this fall.
You forgot to ask everyone the same question, "Do you use Blender?"
I hope Siggraph comes back to San Diego. Driving to Vancouver is really far.
You've always been doing a great job, Andrew, and the question about dance moves just cracked me up 😀 Ace reporting!
Awesome that you were able to get away with that much recording 🙂
This was my 3rd SIGGRAPH, the second time actively helping out with the blender booth. For students out there, there is a reduced price cost if you don't do volunteering, and even still I certainly met a Ton (get it?) of great people at the booth.
nice video, it explains the value of visiting siggraph regularly very concisely
Damn you for going to Siggraph!!! 🙂
This animation is well dodgy, the mic guy still has the UV unwrap base texture on his shirt! Pfft
When will you do your next Blender tuturial?
To bad i live in the Netherlands(a country inside the eu)
more videos from sigg
heilgraph?I'm really enjoying this expansion on the Blender Guru format. It's nice to see you bringing us extra content that focuses on the industry and the personalities therein. Alongside the tutorials and that, it's good that you're spending time to create these interviews, podcasts and video features. Keep it up, Andrew.
1:22 :3
awesome.
So its about clubbing, right? 🙂
wouw that buggy!!
Saying "siggraph" out loud sounds like "cigarette". Its pretty funny watching the video again, where by you substitute the former with the latter. Suddenly everyone is a hardcore smoker.
0:59 Hello Jonathan Williamson
nice video..quadcopter at the end??
That looked exciting, thanks for the video Andrew c:
