Watching it in 1.5x speed actually helps. Yeah it's 2020 and I still have this version of Photoshop.
Amazing tutorial. I'm new to photoshop. But why is it that I can't paint either white/black on my layer mask. I'd made a double checked and saw the same layer selection like in the tutorial. Do you have any opinion on this problem of not able to paint on the layer mask? Any reply would be a great help. Thanks.

I have watched SO Many videos attempting to understand layers and never caught on to the concept as to "How & Why" layer masks . . . I need to understand WHY I am doing something.

Dude, I had teachers in college that could NOT explain this well, at the end of the class everyone was confused about how to do layer masks and clipping masks. Nobody got it. And now after watching this short video I understand layer masks. Amazing. Thanks so much!
