Thanks! Good tutorial, but not for beginners with no experience. You have to have some basic Maya knowledge using NURBS EP (Edit Points) curves to follow along.
So my chain pieces aren't getting generated along my curve in a uniform/linear manner like you are getting. Along the curve, the chains are grouped closer together at the curve's end points and in the bends of the curve they're grouped further apart. EDIT: So I got the increment value down so I can get uniform chain links around the curve bends so I just made my curve end points longer than they needed to be then deleted the extra incorrect geometry and boom i got it working.
