Now its time to start building the creative elements to feature in the Book cover design.
In this tutorial I am going to discuss and demonstrate how you can create a 3D Type composition in Adobe photoshop.
Once created we will be using this in the main book cover for our book design.
Enjoy
**FYI**
In this video tutorial I will be using Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 for mac. Almost all of the principles demonstrated and covered will apply to future and previous versions. Some differences may apply if you are using a previous or future version.

Thank you for your effort you explain everything in depth yet so simple
Thank you Gareth! 🙂
I don't have the font style. I used another. Still, great lesson!
I m speechless after this beauty !!
When I try to use the brush tool on the first letter "A" I don't get the smooth shadow as you. Am I doing something wrong or is my computer at fault?
Wonderful education service 👌👌👌👌👌👌❤👌❤🌹👏👏👏👏👏
The shadow effects are not coming properly for me even though i followed the instructions correctly
The font is Facile Sans Regular, download it here: https://www.dafont.com/facile-sans.font
Is it just me or is the color swatch in the video is different than the project color swatch? I'm seeing a difference on my dual monitor and both are calibrated equally.
Good tutorials. But please speak a bit slowly. You proceed too fast.
when i try to make the shadows on the letters, the brush tool (soft brush, 0% hardness, normal blending mode, following instructions exactly as shown) only produces hard edges. i don’t have this problem in any other document. HELP NEEDED
Why aren't the colors on my screen as vibrant as his?
yes i have done it….thank you sir
when i made my background to zoom to 35.67 % it is larger than yours and covers whole of the screen and beyond that but I have done the same settings while creating a new document like you
Deez tuts as always
oh, those shortcuts are easier for right handed…
My mom came home today watching me beat my dick listening to this video on two 20's
thank you gareth exde
anyone noticed that he didn't use the international paper ! hhh
try watching it at .5 speed, you're gonna go crazy
good stuff, mate!
I thought special effects affect layers on top, not bottom?
I appreciate your ideas and all the tutorials that you have created…. I salute you, sir…..
I have a couple of issues while doing this. The ruler guides does not really center to the transform tool middle circle. When you select the Paper group folder and move them to the center when I try to do it it only moves the layer clicked on. Am I missing something?
This episode is where the magic of the software happens! 谢谢你 Gareth
