Maya & Vray Tutorial – How to create Cloth Shaders / Advanced material workflows HD
Check out this awesome Maya & Vray tutorial where Oasim will go over explaining how to create some realistic soft cloth shaders inside Maya using V-Ray, this technique actually works on any type of renderer. Oasim will start by explaining how to create a really simple cloth shader that you can use in your cartoony projects, and then he’ll show you the “standard” cloth technique, and finally he’ll build an awesome shader network that will blow your mind!

bless you
NOTHING LOOKS OR WORKS THE SAME!!!!!
Amazing… just Amazing. what if i wish to use a normal map instead of a bump map?
Good tut. Only Thing is that mosts velvets don't reflect. FInal material looks more like silk
awesome!

Amazing tutorial!
Very helpful. Thanks a lot.
Excellent tutorial!!! Thanks a lot!
Hi ! Nice tutorial 🙂
I just have one question… I am doing it with arnold, not VRay and I don't find something good enough
to replace the VrayBlendmtl, any idea ? Can I do it with just layered texture ?
This tutorial blew my dick off. in a good way
Very helpful and well structured!
Great video! Learned some new tricks in the hypershade and you gave me some ideas of how to take better advantage of the blend material
Hello, In Vray 3.4 for Maya since we have "VrayFallOf" material we can replace your method with this new material, right?
I'm taking about creating ramps ect.
nice!
Man thanks a million! Really
thank you! very well-explained.
I've been looking for sampler info for a while
haaaa
can i do all the same thing in mental ray? does shading studie really depend on the type of rendering engiene we choose?
this was a really useful tutorial thank you! would love to see more advanced shader techniques
Nice one! Keep the Maya+Vray tutorials coming… they're definitely lacking on the net.
Nice tutorial on how to set up shaders to get different fabric effects, but you really need a different bump map and texture for each different weave (BTW, the texture you chose is a knitted fabric, not a woven one)… 😉
