  1. One of the best tutorials I've seen. Thank you! I would have liked to see you using Atom for the tutorial. It's likely to be the IDE for the majority of your viewers who are looking to learn. I managed to follow everything on your 1st video and using Atom + a package, I could do everything that WebStorm did. It was using Atom to follow PHPStorm that I really struggled with. May I put in a request for tutorial No.3? Would you care to follow-on and install a WordPress website on the same platform? Thank you again and please keep making these excellent tutorials.

  2. Hi, thank you so much for the tutorial. Everything worked for me except when I created the php file to communicate with the sql server. And it alway connection timed out. Do you why it would do that? I was able to connect to the data using web storm and sql workbench. Thank you! Sorry put this comment in the wrong tutorial the first time

  3. Hi Ravi, I didn't want to do that because I don't feel that the small snippet of code to show the working product constitutes "having to know"… I don't want anybody to think the RDS is PHP only or anything like that. The truth is that the script could have been in any server side language that can access a database. It's just that PHP is the most popular. I hope that you didn't feel that PHP was the only way or the "main" way to access the database. You can use any language you are most comfortable with. 🙂 Thanks for the comment and recommendation – I'll see if I can't explain it better next time.
