  1. I like how your videos feel serious and educational but your personality makes them fun and dope. Overall good stuff for the rookie like me who baught a camera to document my kids life, but has no idea how to use one. Thanks for the vids Fro.

  2. Yo Bro! Love your channel, I really like how real you are..I feel like that you offer real and excellent wisdom…Above and beyond your awesome camera knowledge I have also learned from your videos on many things, life YouTube etc.

  3. Hey Jared, Could I know where are you from? Or if someone read this comment and know it… Where is your accent from?
I use to hear English videos on youtube to train my ear and I'm impressed with myself 'cause I understand the most you say.
    Cheers!

  4. Interesting how the lens zoomed slightly as you stopped down to f11, then zoomed back out as you went to f22… I presume you used a stationary tripod for these? If so, I guess it's a part of the optical design… interesting.

  5. Hey Jared, excellent tutorial. Quick question, does the same apply to shooting video? for example, I want to shoot somebody doing a seminar the lighting in the room is at about 25% but the stage lights are at 100%. My focus is on the stage lights and the person on the stage. I'm approximately 30 yards from that person I made the mistake of shooting at 60 frames per second with an ISO at-3000 and an aperture and about 4.5. As you can imagine, it didn't look so good.

  6. Hyperfocal techniques work well in group situation as the depth of field extends both in front of the plane of focus as well as behind. Focusing on the middle bobble head would have demonstrated this better.
I recall the F90 (from back in the film days) had a function to make this easy to use. A lot of modern glass does not show the focus range for each f-stop, a bit of a shame.
    Loving your work.

  7. aperture f22 is not a high aperture, that is a mistake, because correctly it's f/22, f stands for focal length.
This means an aperture of 50mm lens when is set to f/2, it's virtual aperture diameter is 25mm. I write virtual because lenses are very complex, but if you have a single lens element in a camera, then focal lenght divided by it's diameter is the real aperture.

  8. I think most people who watch your videos already know what aperture is. You could have talked about what the f-numbers actually mean, you could've talked about depth of field vs depth of focus and so on, could've talke about why at f1.8 images are softer than at f8. Make it more interesting.
