wtf sound .. great tutorial
THanks!
Objects are diagonally placed than How to Duplicate special Mirroring modelling?
dude get a new mic
nice video
thank you man this worked for me however i have a question. lets say i have a circular object that is not smooth, i use the sculpt too to smooth my object but the middle which is where the mirroring happens i get a crease that occurs making the middle not smooth. how would you think i could fix this?
Thanx for the tutorial.. It helped me alot 🙂
Using Topology Symmetry is the way to go in 2016. I've been struggling with this issue for days until figuring out that Topology Symmetry works with all the tools. I want to make sure people watching these older videos know.
in maya lt 2016 the reflection setting changes into symmetry setting, and i choose symmetry to object Y and the preserve seam was checked but it still has hole in the middle of mesh when i use the move tool, any solution?
I have already created an object but I want that object to be a mirror. I cant copy the object because the effect will not be as same as mirroring the object if I rotate it. How can I reflect my object as Vertical / Horizontal as same in Photoshop?
It worked for me but the object copied is black, and I can't changed it, any ideas?
Hi
In Maya 2016 "Reflection" box (1:20) is missing
can anyone help?
i have a problem :/ . Nothing happens when i click relfection. the edges are still apart when i move them to the left :/
Thanks for the tut! Can you say please why is that when I make mirror of an object with a help of Duplicate special, the instance copy has reversed (black) polygons. I go to Normals and choose Reverse, but in result instance becomes with grey polygons (as I need) and in oposite – the original becomes black (reversed)…. So, what is the reason that polygons in instance are reversed, how to correct it?
thanks man, great tut, saved me a lot of time, cheers.
fucking awesome i didn't know how to get that reflection and preserve seams !! thanks man
I'm having issues with mirroring. The two objects don't merge together smoothly, and there is a gap in the middle. What do you think the issue is?
haah you have come a long way since this crappy mic quality ahha
What if the object I want to mirror is already on the left and I want to mirror it to the right?
Hi, tell me please what to do if when I use the command mirror, between two objects has a distance??
set the scale for x,y,z depending on the axis you are working on to -1. In the video I set my scale to -1 on x.
Why, when you duplicated it, Did your duplication go next to yours, Mine went right on top? Im missing something, I just know it :/
thanks sir i was working on iron man and want to model half and your tutorial really helps
the best tutorial on mirroring i've watched! thanks!!!
Thanks this helped me
thanks heaps!
set the scale to -1. I set mine to -1 for the x axis. It should be an instance as well.
Be sure to have the x scale negative before mirroring objects, or they will just duplicate.
