This video shows the culmination of the last few modeling videos as we put together all the models into Unreal Engine 4. Autodesk maya was used to model, Zbrush to sculpt, and Substance Painter for texturing and Unreal Engine 4 for rendering.

  1. Hi I have bought this tutorial and have a question for your workflow. after doing the details in zbrush, do you bake the normal maps in maya? if not, how do bake normal maps? is there a way to bake them from high poly mesh directly in substance painter?

  2. When modeling like without textures on and whatnot in Maya, how do you get your shading that good of quality? When I have 2 objects intervene each other its like flat shades. I'm not sure if that makes sense but I'd like to know how to improve my default shading quality if its possible.

  3. I knew from the start you were building a stylized lmao all they stylized props had to be for something 😏

edit: it's beautiful, btw. i wish i done something like this back in school–a scene that's more focused on storytelling rather than scale. good stuff, as always, my man!

  4. No waaaaaay!! I was not expecting that! I should have guessed it though! hahahahahaha Incredible work, pal! This is exactly the kind of thing that I want to be able to make. I modelled an entire kitchen some time ago, but I gave up the texturing. I was using 3dcoat and I wanted to handpaint everything, but I wasn't used to the software.
But this kind of video really motivates me to go back to that project!
    Congratulations, this is amazing!
