Hey quick question how does Mays 2018 compare to Maya 2020 since they seem pretty similar and rn im using Maya 2018 with the same versions you have (i think) of zbrush and substance.

I think your high poly in maya you can make them in zbrush with zmodeler brush and auto creases before subdividing them / dynamesh

Looks great, I was wondering how you achieved the liquid inside the glass look for this prop. When I started watching the video I thought that you were going to place a mesh inside a shell with the inside mesh being the liquid and the outside becoming the glass, but it looks like you only have one mesh that represents the liquid and the glass. Is this a common layering trick or something? Or do you have to create some custom meta channel and tell your shader to use it or something? Sorry if this is well know effect, I have not done enough research on my own yet, but it looks cool and I wanted to make sure to inquire about it.

I've been watching a few of your videos for awhile now and it's been inspiring me to start modeling again. I've been in such a rut since graduating uni learning how to do this and not being able to find a job in anything related to 3D work. Yet watching your work flow with all 3 programs it reminds me of how fun it actually was. I just lost motivation. Watching how you create makes me want to again. Only issue would be Zbrush. I have an old version of painter too but that shouldn't be an issue. If you see this though I'd like to know where you get your references from or what you'd recommend. I wanna start making stuff again, but idk if it'll be good enough. I have to update my portfolio anyways since its been about over a year now too. The finalized piece you made looks great along with the rest of the stuff you make. It looks so detailed but the steps making them are so easy. AH >.< IM RAMBLING!!! I'm sorry. I guess i'd like to know what you'd recommend. (References etc, and what motivates you)
