  1. I lol man. Damn Realflow 2012 has stumbled upon my non-english name again. Again an encoding issue. For fuck's sake, it's 2012… Major industry products… Behaves like amateur student stuff.

  2. Btw I also use Nuke and it can't remember recent files because my user name contains non-english characters… Industry's two top programs have such dumb issues that smell 1990s.

  3. Hah that wasn't quick… Batch render issued a mysterious error ("could not create command port "). Different forums suggested different things, i twicked firewall settings and did other things… And then I changed my network name to contain only Latin-1 symbols and it worked. It's year 2012 and programs still crash with non-English letters.

  4. Now what kind of file would I render it as if I wanted it in After Effects? Right now I just rendered my scene with a lime green wall behind it and used Keylight in After Effects, but is there a file type to get it right into After Effects?

  5. Excuse me, i render the animation to quicktime movie, but how come i got ( I name the file spaceship) spaceship_ipr.qt instead .mov? I can't played .qt file. Can you please help me fix that please? If u don't mind.

  6. Whenever I go to 'Image Format' all I have are different iamge formats (png, jpeg etc)
There is no option for Mov for any other video format.
Is there some setting to enable this, or do you have to download a plug-in?

  7. Great! This helps alot! But I'm having an issue. After it's rendered, it's very laggy. I've tried converting it and re-rendering it to try to fix the problem and it still comes out laggy I eport as an AVI since I'm on windows and don't see quicktime…but that shouldn't make it lag….

  8. Awesome video, thank you VERY much! How do you like using Maya on the Mac? I heard there were a few problems but does it run faster and easier? Do you like it better than on Windows?

I am deciding on whether my design computer will be a Mac or Windows and Maya is primarily what I use so, I will be basing my choice around it.

  9. very easy, very quick. like always, but there isn't any quicktime file to choose in my render options. How can i get it there? there's only avi suggested, is it because i'm working on a pc?

  10. thanks bro this helped a lot, only person that could explain to me what i needed without random maya crap, cuz im a noob first our using it and i finally have my awesome ironman closeup rendered, thanks to u 😉

  11. I have now seen, i can choose the .avi as render, but it still gives me problems

i have found a video, with exact the same problem i'm talking about,.

please look at it,, maybe you have the answer?

  12. yea, there should be an option for a movie file under render settings. such as a quicktime movie or windows media movie. all of the other things are just images, which you can put together in a program like combustion.

  13. i'm trying to render a simple scene now…

    i have some questions…
at render settings, i hear you use Maya Software..
    At 'image file output'-'frame/animation ext:'
    i can't choose the multi-frame option,..
it only renders images not animations..

maybe is it because of settings in
    Window>Settings/Preferences>Plug-InManager ?

    maybe you have any idea?
