  1. why is it so ovious that modo and blender share common UI and features. I have been using blender for a while now and it literaly tock me about 1 week or less to learn modo. blender and modo it is.. finallly a software i can use and people take it seriously without having to use boring 3Ds max or " I dont care about modelling only animation – maya" lol

  2. Modo is still lightyears away from being a reliable 3d creation tool. As such will never pay the outrageous price. If the development will continue like this, Modo will end-up in the discarded software bin. The devs don't seem to be very interested to really develop, but rather to fool people into buying newer iterations.

  3. There's a large, LARGE number of videos on Luxology's site on using modo. While I don't think there's any videos for moving from another app to Modo, the idea there's not a lot of training materials just isn't accurate.

  4. I really like luxology attitude, but really, modo for modelling is very awful compare to XSI or even blender. Too many tool for doing similar job. IMO topology pen is a good move (press shift+mouse click and extrude an edge, click left mouse button and extruding an entire loop of edge, press middle mouse and add a loop etc) The actual tool set force you to cage in a convulsed way tools too many times: a split tool for edge, another different for point, a tool for add a single point (!) etc. etc
