Newsweek recently conducted a massive survey to determine the best online retailers for customer service, and B&H came out on top in the online photo and video category.

The evaluation process was impressively extensive, involving 132,954 evaluations from over 20,000 customers. The score was then built from six categories: likelihood of recommendation, quality of communication, technical competence, range of services, customer focus, and accessibility. B&H won the online photo and video category with an overall score of 8.75 out of 10 and was actually third overall out of hundreds of companies in 141 different categories. Personally, I’ve always had good experiences with B&H; they’ve been quite knowledgeable even when I had some rather specific questions and have been very helpful whenever I’ve had any issues. As you’re making holiday purchases, customer service is definitely something to consider, and I can attest that B&H‘s is quite good.

On a related note, if you’ve never been to the physical store, you should definitely go if you’re in Manhattan and have the chance. The massive conveyor belt system that runs all throughout it is worth the trip alone. It’s located at 420 Ninth Avenue on the corner of West 34th Street.
