Using the Smoke simulator I made this Flame Thrower effect. A in depth tutorial will be coming hopefully in the upcoming weeks showing how to create smoke and flames. Originally I was following Blender Guru’s guide but found some places of improvement and this is my results. ENJOY! 😀

  1. That uses a rendering/simulating method that is built around cutting corners for speed. But what developers and engineers can do now to bring almost ray-trace like effects to unsuitable hardware is phenomenal. Even if it is extremely taxing on game engineering budgets. An engine built off the cycles rendering method would require much less attention in the engine setup stages. But that's out of reach of all but a class 500 supercomputer in real time.
