Pleaseeeeeee learn to pronounce fresnel correctly! (His name was pronounced “fren-el”).
I tried this in version 2.78c, and it looked great when it was in its home file, but when I linked it into a scene the two objects I assigned it to were crazy grainy/noisy on the render. I tried all the usual noise reduction techniques and I still couldn't remove it. For now I just took out the entire Veronoi node chain going into the displacement port of the Material Output, but of course, I've lost that fabulous texture. Is there something about linking (vs appending) that impacts how an object texture reacts to light?
Wow! Normally I just map a leather texture on to the mesh but this is so much better
I used this technique to create a tolex covering for a bass rig and it worked great! Thanks a lot for the tutorial.
What an awesome method! I usually struggle trying to UV map a complicated object over a leather texture but this gives and excellent result with no mapping. Thanks!!
thanks
Very helpful. Thanks!
Hey there hope you can help me. Well i tried 2 of ur tutorials but i always have a trouble with the fresnel node. When i set it to "fac" in mix shader the material goes to a metallic style and the texture or color only its getting rendered in some angles and it is not visible from all the views. Hope you can help me thanks
