Blender 2.71 can bake textures in Cycle engine. Baking textures is usefull method for saving time needed to render a scene.

################################

– don’t add node to empty texture (will be black)
– if final texture will be transparent, try leave Edit mode and bake again
– if Blender says “No active image found, add material or bake to an external file”, maybe You forgotten to add material or empty texture
– don’t forget to save baked textures

  1. typically, if I watch a video and it has no sound I immediately find another video. However in this case the instructions are quite clear and I see exactly how to do it. Thanks and thumbs up!

  2. this might be a dumb question but going to ask it anyway. say you model some kind of box with holes etc.  you bake it, could you put it on just a cube? or would the holes look fake if you had like bolts inside there or something?

  3. I've been working on a fps game and have made lots of assets for my game. But I've made all my assets in cycles render and every time I append to blender game the materials don't work does anyone know how to fix this?
