Will new Dyntopo work on multirez mesh?
Loving this. Keep at it. I'm a bit more excited about the texturing and baking improvements coming.
I come from the future with a warning. In September 2028 Blender is officially renamed to Skynet, just 2 days later it becomes self aware and hacks the worlds military systems causing a nuclear war. My mission is to track down the future human resistance leader and keep them safe.
Matcaps are better for sculpting as highlights, shadows and reflections on an eye-candy viewport mode like eevee can result more deceiving than helpful.
Blender needs a Nobel Peace prize.

Everyone should contribute as much as they can annually to fund the development of Blender.
I've been looking forward to this new sculpt mode painting for awhile now. I've seen a couple people actually use this before with the work around because of how good the paint mode is. It's gonna be nice to have it in blender by default.
Imagine being able to flawlessly paint in the different maps and then be able to manipulate the mesh even after?! Sounds to good to be true.
It feels like Blender is heading straight for leadership in all 3D areas. Those dyntopo changes are incredible and i can't wait! 😀

The industry standard doesnt have smooth faces leading to overuse of geo, and now blender has an the best viewport to sculpt and dyntopo on steroids
Its nice to have some updates. But because I am ZBrush user, it doesnt mean too much for me. But nice Blender is improving a little.
GPU should support for sculpting in blender 😀

unless max brings something big to the table with zbrush, i wont be subbing to them when my perpetual is no longer allowed updates.
blender is right on their heel's, might not be the most powerful, but with curve's being already better than zbrush's bend curve gizmo for stylized hair, they better bring huge things.
DYNOTOPO THE BEST
I'm still angry that Pixologic sold themselves to Maxon, but I'm glad that Blender's finally begun to take sculpting as a priority, over the past couple of years (something I've been begging and praying for, myself).
I'm not naive, though–ZBrush has had decades of industry standardization, support, and feedback to shape it into being the best sculpting program on the planet. I've been using Blender since 2.4x, but I'm a realist–ZBrush is still miles ahead of Blender's Sculpt Mode.
Still, if Blender keeps on this focused path and more of the industry continues to shift towards its support, Blender can become a decent replacement over time–and we'll never have to worry about stupid corporate acquisitions getting in the way.

In ZBrush, you can create Booleans. Will Blender have boolean support within the sculpting environment?

I'd really like to be able to reset my brushes to their custom settings rather than factory defaults. This is honestly my biggest pet peeve about sculpting in Blender.
Thank you askNK for always updating us on in the 3D world. you don't waste our time, unessesarily drag on on random things, etc… You're everything I want a reporter to be and you're devotion to these video updates are amazing.
While we can all agree that Zbrush is probably the king of sculpting apps, Blender sculpting is now more powerful than Zbrush was not so long ago. And the convenience of having it all in one app adds a lot. You really do not need zbrush to get work done. Blender is amazing.
