For us (as 3D artists) would be ,oftentimes, useful to know how to use a 2D drawing program as well. The uses of a drawing program are many : creating logos, creating geometric shapes (we could then import in the 3D program and manipulate them as 3D objects) even creating textures
In this video tutorial I’m giving an example of how useful this knowledge can be by modelling a motorbike tire in Blender whose part of its geometry has been ‘drawn’ using Inkscape free drawing suite

gracias Peter !!! es justo lo que necesitaba
Very interesting. Not what I was looking for, but I was glad to find it. I'll be coming back to this video.
Great tutorial, i was wondering how i could improve those bends, and hand really found a good solution, i was thinking of adding more bones, but that only created more complexity, this seams more simple to use and control
Thankn you for sharing.
Dude awesome tutorial, I would say the best tutorial on tyre thread on youtube, you are born tutor!
Hmmm! This is amazing. Please do more. Keep up the Good work. I love open source/free software because they offer us Artist the freedom to be more creative. Freedom from worrying about paying for many different commercial softwares and freedom to re-invent the open source programs to our taste
this helped me to finally get my tire together, when my tire refused to do as others videos showed, tyvm 🙂
Thank you. Good tutorial on Blender and some of Inkscape. I use both as well.
