  1. You may also select all front faces by.. … Edit Mode … Face Mode ….Select a single face …..  Then… Select Menu …  [[Select Similar … Normal ]].  This will all faces facing in the same direction as the original

  2. Before select  you all faces, press A, and W, and click on REMOVE THE DOUBLES, it's help a lot! I don't know why, all time after transform TEXT to MESH, Blender auto-duplicate all vertices, and you need do this ritual!
