  1. AH okay, so basically you model the hair itself? I tried using the particle system, but yeah no that isn't really supportive.

I mean, it kinda works, but for a real-time engine it just doesn't.

  2. This is hard…. doing one by one. You must be an expert to manipulate those polygone easily without the sculpt tool. You also dont have a lot of hair and a simple hair style. How would you do curly hair?Do you have other work the you can show?

  3. 20:30 I believe you need to rotate the dupli geometry in edit mode, to correct the orientation when emitted by the particle system. If you model an arrow pointing down the Y, and rotate the _object_, it's still pointing down the object's Y, however it looks in the scene. The local transform is what the particle system cares about, since it has to reorient the dupli object to the surface normal anyway.

  4. Hi. Thanks for the tutorial.

A quick way to UV several strips:

-make sure they have the same amount of polygons,
    -Uv unwrap one of them
    – Separate others (ctrl+P loose parts)
-In object mode select unwrapped one, then the separated ones and Ctrl +L Transfer UV maps

Must have the same polys. You might get some odd ones here and there but it generally works and saves some time.

  5. Hey Guys! I come with awesome news, I just got my computer back from the repairation table which means part 2 is back in production! since it was some time ago since I could work with it I have to backtrack a little and see what I had to come up with on this part. I have to wait with the recording until tonight since there are awfully a lot of background noises going on around where I live and I want it to be as good as possible for you guys & gals to watch.

I appreciate all your support and patience and all the feedbacks that you have been giving me. Thank you big time!
And as always, if you have any questions feel free to contact me by email which you can find in the description.

P.s: Please bare in mind that I live in Sweden which means it's (CEST) so the video may not come out during nightitme at your place.

  6. Hi Everyone! I just wanted to let you know that part 2 is in production but sadly I have to delay it 'til monday. So around the middle of that day(Timezone CEST) it will be launched. It is by many reasons why it is delayed, but you will have a part 2, as promised!
I thank you for your understanding. Keep being awesome people! (Y)
Let me know if you have any questions, cheers! 🙂

EDIT: Alas, I come with bad news. My workstation is out of function and therefore I had to bring it to the local hardware store to repair it. Which means it will be yet another delay and it will probably take a day or 2 maybe even more. The video itself is close to being finished. So it should be uploaded the same day as I get my workstation back. I will keep you updated. Don't worry guys, there will be a part 2 it just gonna take a few days more.

As always if you have any questions, anything at all, don't hesitate to ask, take care.
