Through this series I’m going to introduce you to the key basics of Blender, helping you get started with all the fundamentals that you need to begin working in Blender. This series is intended primarily for beginners that have a basic understanding of 3D.

I will be giving you a tour of the interface and navigation, modeling, animation, shading, lighting, and rendering with Cycles.

  1. This is great… have to pause 'cos there's just so much info.
    I just thought that part about, "… but if I bring up the operator panel here and choose 'dissolve vertices, it also doesn't do anything!" (hilarious)
    I immediately thought, "I if I wedge my left thumb right up my asshole, it also doesn't do anything either!" LOL

  2. I must be retarded. I find 3DSMax intuitive and can use it easily however Blender, Maya and ZBrush are so awkward for me to use that I find it hard to be productive with their User Interfaces. It feels like someone has replaced the steering wheel in a car with a porcupine covered in Jelly and Razor blades.
