Hey guys!
This tutorial is a quick demonstration I performed while tutoring for a local university last year. In this tutorial I cover the basics of blender, how to export a scene from sketch-up and the basics of the cycles render engine!

Let me know what you want next in the comments! 🙂

  1. Help me out guys! I'm using a OS X and when i try to convert from .dxf to .fbx, it starts "loading". For mac users will understand that when something loads, the "colourful circle swirly" icon will replace the mouse cursor. That being said, it just "loads".. Ive waited for almost 30mins and nothing happens. So my question here is, is that normal? How long am i suppose to wait for? And if that should not happen, how should i troubleshoot this problem? My .dxf file is 122mb, if that helps

  2. i have sketchup 2014 pro and i can directly open skp models through exporting it into 3ds file format or obj. format and then open it in blender but i find it difficult to understand blender engine especially its lighting system
