FAQ:
Q: My background images won’t show up after dragging them in.
A: Ensure that your view is properly aligned (press 1 on numpad to set view from front). You also need to be in orthographic (as opposed to perspective) view. You can toggle between ortho and perspective with 5 on the numpad. If, for whatever reason, simply dragging the images in does not work for you, you can also add them manually by pressing ‘n’ to open the properties panel, navigating to the ‘Background Images’ section near the bottom, and pressing “Add Image”.
Q: Pressing the numbers only changes frame/layer.
A: You need to press the numbers on the numpad (as opposed to the top row of numbers). If your keyboard does not have a numpad, go into preferences and in the input tab check ’emulate numpad’.

If you're struggling to add the reference images or change views, please read the FAQ in the description.
Look Easier than i was thinking 🙂
Been going alright for a first attempt. Obviously I've had to keep pausing the video, I think it would be impossible to keep up even if you were going slow, but I appreciate that you've gone through it quite quick as it allows me to soak up the information faster. I messed up a couple times so I've had to rectify that but so far im 8:30 in and it's only taken me roughly 40 minutes. I'll get faster with time. So far my model looks like a much rougher version of yours. Liked and subbed bro thankyou.
Great job!
Great tutorial. But are you on a fucking highway mate?
so glad there is a software like blender that is free, but for fuck sake is so ridiculously hard to learn, horrid interface and shortcuts
what's the name of the application
I have to say thank you, every time I create a character I watch this video and then apply it to the game engine im using, really awesome video, of course after following the tutorial I redesign its clothes and its look to fit what im making, but glad this video is really easy to follow. also thanks for showing me how to make a hat, lol
What if you do not have a numpad?
Can U give me .blender file
Fantastic series
blender 2.72 windows 7 32 bit http://fail-7.ru/download/oegwwwwe
Great explanation! First time I could really follow a tutorial for Blender! Thank you. Just one question: How did you do the "editing-texture" of the man in the beginning (intro)?
the shift alt s dose't work
6:26 what the hell!!!!?!! dude just select the 2 edges. then press F to add a face between them. you go out of your way to make this unnecessarily hard
for some reason my selection never works on the back vertex when i select the same way you do… is there a reason for that?
what is everyone's thoughts about "hard coding" the clothing? i'm completely new to blender, so trying to figure out an efficient workflow. Sketch on pen and paper, model with blender, create clothing, rig? Or is there a better flow?
Thank you for the tutorial, it truly helps me a lot.
