A look at the different passes for diffuse, glossy, transmission etc available in Cycles and the method for being able to split these and recombine again to create the final image. This lets us have access to and treat passes individually.

Hi thank you for a great tutorial.
I have a Catalina PBY plane model with 309 individual objects, each with own shader and UV texture. I built the first ten and oh my Blender just crashes when trying to see rendered view in viewer LOL. Do you think render layers would be the way to go? 🙂
