Soundless, sorry. Note : I’m not focusing on the 3D a lot (fast) because there is an excellent Earth tutorial on BlenderGuru.com, detailed, I couldn’t do a better one myself, where everything is explained, the different spheres, materials, etc..
So here, I’m mainly showing you my compositing of the earth scene from “Space Oddity 2”, scene inspired by very cool Videocopilot’s Element 3D trailer by Andrew Kramer. (Sometimes ago : “Awesome ! I wonder if I could do this”, and it all started..).
At the end, you’ll quickly see the Spaceship scene, and title as well.

Thanks for watching.

That is awesome! What are your pc specs? I am building my new 3d render rig, and I want to be sure it will be enough.
why using blender internal not cycles ?
Hi Tom, great resource! But I'm having problems opening the file 'Earth Scene.blend'. 12.9Mb. I've downloaded it but when I try to open it, Blender shuts down instantly. If I open it from the Download folder, I get blender but with an interface I don't recognize, telling me how top upload a .blend file. Any solutions?

How would one get rid of the black and not have it rendered widescreen? I know you can adjust resolution but I mean just take away the black bars on top and bottom
thanks for scene
Awesome works! Thanks 🙂
its obvious that you are a very talented blenderartist, your works are awe inspiring
Question: you can see in the render the glare streak is not made up of complete circles, like it would with a natural lens flare, but is the shape of the visible area of the sun. Do you know of a way to mitigate or eliminate that?
Tom
