I was trying this tutorial again. I tried it a long time ago and could not get it to work to make different color planks. This time it worked! On Blender 2.8 on the material
1. Add an Attribute node and name it Col otherwise it will not work. (if you cannot find it search for Attribute ). Again on the Nam field name it Col
2. Add a ColorRamp.
3. Connect the nodes. Attribute node Fac connect to ColorRamp Fac. ColorRamp Color connect to your Base Color on the Pricipled BSDF
This Addon is built on Blender 2.8 all you have to do is activate it. Thank you to the people that made this Addon and thanks for this tutotial 🙂
the link doesnot exist in 2019
in my case size of texture is different then planks size in render… how so?
nice
I can do that in 2.79 ????? I CAN NOT!!!!
I heard about wood prix instructions good opinions.
You can go to woodprix if you would like to make it yourself guys.
Add on is no longer at that URL
Fez uma puta firula que não serviu pra porcaria nenhuma o bump que usou não serviu pra nada cade o relevo? Muito nerd firulendo
You missed the reflection, normal, glossy, normal and displacemnet maps, also the bumps must be generated with an image texture setted as non color data or a color data converted with a color ramp
Hell Yeah man, thanks a lot!
saving my ass right here! 🙂
wow FU ! Stopped watching after 11 second because: "download … " yeah… thats not how to make something! Its like: How to make a human model in 2 minutes = download it
Why leave out scaling? The planks are far too big to use in room scale.
The addon can be downloaded here:

That was amazingly helpful! Thank you so much. I've been having trouble getting realistic flooring for a while now.
please email me the file at lesediben@gmail.com the link is no longer available. Thanks
I don't have the Input => "Vertex Colors" option :/ Any clue?
Floor Board?
So it works for some, but if I add an attribute and name ir Col, nothing happens, haha! it goes black an that is all.
very good
I installed the Floor Generator add-on and started to follow your tutorial, but the add-on I have installed is missing the Solidify, Floor Generator, and Edge Split modifiers. The only modifier showing is Bevel. Please assist me in correcting this so that I can complete the tutorial.
Would you be able to give us the wood texture that you used?
How did you do that spin out from Diffuse to Glossy and automatically created Mix Shader in 1:41?
😮 thank you so much!! thats amazing:)
Thank you. This was awesome!
Is it working for Blender 2.77a? After installing it i'am able to access it over add/mesh/addfloorboardmesh but the Objectmodifier-tab is empty, so i'am not able to modify the settings
Wow. Looks awesome!
is this just good for renders/movies or does this improve texture quality for a game model?
how do I put the script into my blender?
Hello, thanks for the tutorial.
I need to get wood-00.jpg. How can i download it? I did every steps but, I couldn't find the right texture.
