In this tutorial, I’m going to explain how to creat a game realistic sword.
Blender Modeling – Realistic Sword (Skyrim) Mesh and Textures.
We use a image background overlay and model our mesh (the sword), then we are going to uv unwrap it and place a texture on it. After that is done, we create the scene and render it.
It was my first tutorial in a whie, I forgot to enable screencast…

  1. I already know how to model. I just want REALISTIC SHEEN THROUGH TEXTURE AND MATERIAL. Half the time I gotta full screen cuz ya'lls menu are hella small coupled with the fact that you show me EVERY process when I just need to know 1 or 2 in tandem with each other.

I am making a sword. It's complex in shape but that doesnt matter. I have every vertex highlighted where the steel would be and even have a material applied. I have multiple light sources and I'm only assuming that maybe….just maybe I need to activate the process chain which is another 5 hours or learning I'm not excited for. (and no, I'm not giving up and going back to maya)

Can somebody just message me and give me a hyperlink? I've wasted 5 hours watching ppl just ramble on with their projects from start to finish. I only need one thing explained.

  2. i know this video is old but how can i export my file with the textures into something like unity, everytime i export the sword i made as an obj or fbx it doesnt have a texture when i import it into unity

  3. hello sorry for my regular engish , hope understand the most, am searching for a moder semi pro for hire him , to make some personals Works fot me, the modder must know about nifskope speacialy convert obj to nif , Works not so complex, any moder interesed to help can comunícate with me thanks.

  4. this video taught me nothing about how to use blender, you didn't explain anything needed for a new user and just confused me more, basically, i got a headache and had to teach myself how to use the program, so thanks a lot… dislike…

  5. Hello. I'm completely new to blender. At 1:18 you say to press 7 to get the view from the top, but when i press 7 it switches the layers. Are there any settings for that? I'm using Windows 8.1 Enterprize. I added the image and it doesn't show behind the block like it does in the video.

  6. Hi ! I have a clue with the smooth subdivision, it doesnt give me the same shape as yours, but more of a square with round corners, how can i fix that ? Is that important for the sword or is it just a preference ?

  7. Ok, isn't it much easier when working with a base image/design for the sword? What if I made my own sword design and need my own textures? I did it, but the textures and/or lighting looks strange and kind of too shiny and transparent in Skyrim, any advice on that?
