This Blender muscle tutorial shows an easy way to model muscles without using the sculpting tools. If you are a beginner, this could be an easier way to make some simple muscle shapes on your base mesh without having to draw them manually.

Speech transcript:
Today, we are building some muscle on this base mesh. Add a subdivision surface modifier and activate the smooth shading for the model. On edit mode, deactivate clipping, if you have a mirrored mesh, and select the face you want to shape into muscle, then extrude it. Press w and select “smooth”. It should look like a nice and smooth piece of musculature. To make bulkier muscles, press the “s” key and scale it until it looks the way you want it. To smoothen the newly created faces, deactivate the smooth shading and activate it again. These muscles may not be anatomically correct, but who cares about that? Anyway, The technique can be applied to make all sorts of muscular structures. I am going to show you how to make the muscles even more defined. it’s simple, look: add a loop cut to the sides of the muscle and drag it as close as you can to the base of the muscle. This will male it look ripped, like it’s about to blow, or something. To make everything look even smoother, increase the number of subdivisions in your subdivision surface. Don’t forget to subscribe. I’m cooking up some tremendous battle animations. You are going to love it.
