  1. hi,
    i have a question.
I have 2 PC: 1 linux + 1 win. I'm sending jobs but no render starts.
The file appear in win as Y:blahxyz
    while on linux it's /mnt/x/y/z
Is the file is sent via network (with a directive to render frame X) or does the master have to find the file on the filer? The jobs specifiy the location of the file.

If so is it possible to point to the master the right place to find the file (path converted to what he knows)?

  2. Important note you should mention in your video (maybe add an anotation) : the resulting frames are in exr format and if you open them with photoshop, it will show up black. To see the colors, open the image in Blender from the UV/Image editor or open an image sequence from the video editor.

  3. Hi, sorry to bother, but I have three questions

    1) If the client requests for a job to be done, the master distributes the work to all its slaves and the slaves do the work, does the client and master work along with the slaves?
    2) Does the net render involve multiple computers working simultaneously on a single frame? Or do they each work on their own?
    3) My client and master runs on Windows, but my slaves run on Mac OS. Will network render still work if this is the case?

    Thanks!!

  4. Hi, I have 60+ macs connected to a Network on the same server, however I can't seem to connect the master computer to the client it say "client not found" or something, I haven't connected any slaves yet due to this issue. Any ideas?

  5. How can I use Net Render if my computers have a different Sub-Network?
    The thing is:
My PC at home is the master and the client and the slaves are computers of my friends at their home. But if they enter the IP address and the port number of my PC (The master), Blender says: No master on this network. How can I fix that? Is it possible?
