In this video, we’ll explore how to create a stone using Bisect — new tool in Blender 2.69. It reminds me of Zbrush clip brushes — one stroke to cut the sphere in half and so on. The drawback of this method is geometry, filled with n-gons. Though, it is usable.
In the part 2, we’ll quickly retopologize the stone.
Thanks for watching!

Whoah, that's awesome. Reminds me of using the cut tool in Hammer editor!
Thank you so much! By the way, how did you make that awesome blurry effect?
Very well done! Thanks for the little tip! Love these fast type tutorials 😀

What was the point of subdividing the cube in the beginning? Why not just start with a sphere?
How do I make it look brown like his?
Steps:
-Add a cube
-Press ctrl+3 (to add subsurf modifier)
-Smooth shading
-Apply subsurf modifier
-Go to edit mode and select all
-Press space button and write "bisect", then select it
-Use it, and look at the left bottom corner, tick fill and clear outer
-Then select all again press space, choose bisect… etc
wow Ive just watched another low poly rock and Im amazed the creator is cg geek
How do you make a hotkey?
For some reason when I use the tool it doesn't remove the faces it just cuts them.
Incredibly useful lesson thank you 10/10
I know this video is years old, but as a beginner this is an awesome tip. For those struggling to keep up, a "YouTube Quick Tip" for you: Click the Settings icon on the video, and change the speed to 0.5. Also, for those other tutorials that are just a little too slow, speed it up to 1.25.
Fill creates only one face. Cant really sculpt it later on. Advice?
bisect just selects vertices for me
You show the buttons you press, short instructions, very short video. Just one mistake: you dont show how you start… the most important point!
TAB (to edit mode), T (menu left side), Mesh Tools / Add / Bisect – Button !!!
Nice work, but I can't follow your directions, because there isn't key strokes, you move to fast, it seems a lot like showing off and not teaching.
There is no Bisect tool.. 🙁
