This Blender video demonstrates how to make an animation of text that appears to come into focus when a lens is moved in front of it. Blender version 2.71 was used for this tutorial. This video shows many techniques that may be helpful to beginners and intermediate users.

  1. i JUST TRIED THIS TUTORIAL LAST FEW DAYS BUT WHEN THE FINAL RENDER WAS DONE IT WENT OO VIDEO PLAYER BUT WAS STUCK AND WOULDNT PLAY. ANY SUGGESTION ON WHY! IM USING 2.79B BLENDER. LET ME KNOW IF I DID SOMETHING DIFFERNET OR IF ITS A HARWARE ISSUE

  2. Got everything except the second render layer part when I render lens render layer it shows the same as the first one the shadow. I'm using blender 2.76. If anyone can help me I would surely appreciate it. Great tutorial.

  3. This is the best tutorial! When looking through the lens the whole scene gets a bit darker. Is there any way to edit the texture to prevent this? It's like the lens has a tint of black in it. Thank you!

    I'm using Blender 2.78c and getting White sparks inside and beside the lense.
    I work with a Curve instedt of Text.
