A quick, basic tutorial for beginners on how to import images into Blender. Blender has made it easy. You just have to check the add-on under user preferences for “Images as Planes” and then there are a couple of ways you can import them using this add-on. I explain in the video. Thanks for watching. 1. I've looked all over, many hours, finally came across your video. walked through one time, ( I use two monitors ) and was very happy to get my pictures in….Thank you so much. Now all I need is to get them in as background. BillP

  2. hey thanx a lot for just amusing that everyone would know how to select use alpha and if you think im being sarcastic you are right because I dont know how to select that so this video is pretty much worthless

  3. I'm new to Blender. It's making me frustrated. I'm trying to follow your video, and yet when I go to make a material layer and apply my image it just keeps creating a new square. Even when I select (right click) my object. The panel on the right shows a sphere being painted with my image, and yet I have to keep deleting these material layers. I'm learning to make a 3d object of a disc with a png image of the Earth (trying to disprove flat earth) Yet I learned how to paint the object it's self a different color. But for some reason when I try to apply a picture as a paint for the cylinder I've made it just keeps making new objects.
