Hello all! This is the first Blender Tutorial on this channel. In this tutorial you will learn how to make a coin in Blender 2.63 using bump mapping, UV mapping, and basic texturing.

  1. Also the rotation tool expects to be spun around the central axis point, that's why the arrows aim off to the sides and extend from that axis point. you can move closer or further from the axis point to fine tune the rotation but move the mouse in a circle to get it to rotate correctly.

  2. any chance of making another step by step tutorial (preferably as made in this youtube video titled" how to model a coin" h-ttp://w-ww.youtube.com/watch?v=nR_ecMPl5jg "remove hyphens" in web address) with further commentary including items clicked in the menus, and using the new render engine as this is doing my head in.

  3. this is frustrating, 4 days and still can't do a basic coin. followed the tutorial and so far is the best found about creating coins as there is commentary and a display about keys/buttons to click for a newby. got to the point of laying the wire-frames on the coin images, though get confused after that step(around 7:45)images are opened later on, but when were they created, as there are no instructions in the vid how to do this. is there an important step missing?
