  1. Hi Steve, how do i change the amount of proportional editing? like when you were pulling the bottom vertces down quite far it was stretching the top was down too, how do i lower it Thank you. Also, would you ever consider doing the AWESOME helmets from the clone wars? Like Commander Cody's helmet in the Order 66 part is AMAZING. and i have full amazing blueprints, all identically sized if you're interested (i'll email them free of course if you could do a tutorial for me?)

  2. Thank you for this tutorial! I found it crucial when I started work in Blender, and you want to see my result?

No, it's not a Vader helmet.
It's an XCOM 2 Mod that uses Skyrim and Vader's Helmet as an inspiration!

I'm planning on adding more to the mod, though life may get in the way.
Two (technically three, one is the helmet without the goggles) items are in it at the moment. 🙂

Again, thank you for this video.

  3. hey man im doing all the things you did to import a picture in blender and ive done all the normal stuff and then ive also went into user preferences and stuff but when i do it the image does not show and i cant work out why could me ?

  4. How do you adjust the size of the proportional editing circle on the fly like that?   I find I have to start dragging with one hand, then moving the middle mouse button with the other at the same time, which is very, very awkward.

  5. Really good tutorial! I watched this to start learning to model in Cinema 4D. Attempted to model Loki's helmet, but I was not succesful. Could you do a tutorial on how to model a more complex object in the future? oh, and by any chance, do you know if there's something in Cinema 4D like Proportional Editing in Blender? Thanks!

  6. Ok, trying to figure something out.  Your sideview image is showing flipped in my blender.  Tried using the invert checkboxto get it to match with this tutorial, but then after you start moving the vertices for the helmet brim, and I go sideview, everything is opposite what it needs to be.  So  …. do I need to reverse the image before I even start this?

  7. I love blender, dont get me wrong but … why can't DEL mean delete!!!!! Not X then click on delete command. Why cant I LMB click in an open area to un-select what ever is selected like any other program. Why can't I RMB to escape out of a routine. AND for the love of GOD left click should always be SELECT( its a law). Small things like Mirror "clipping" should be turned on by default. lastly why can't I pan with only the mouse instead of remembering a hot key to go with it, especially when panning is done so often. But I do love the program and JMHO!
