I'd recommend using Gulp.js which is a dependency that is installed using a package manager, most popular being node.js and npm. Adding gulp and gulp-sass (which is a plugin of gulp.js) to your project saves on installing sass applications or ruby. traversy media is your guy for this 😛

I don't think I have bootstrap-flex.scss file which I installed with bower.

Because the bootstrap-4.0.0-alpha.6 version does not contain -flex when compiling?

I am using Gulp. All my sass files are imported to assets in one line and then compiled with my personal css in app.sass to app.css in public.
