After some help from the people in the comment section, this material turned out beautiful. Thank you, but next time, just tell people in the description or something to enable the add ons, and be clear with the keyboard shortcuts you're using, please.
click here click there hit CTRL some key without even explaining what the fuck they just did !
I've been trying to learn this shit for years and its seems like the blender community has elitism within it, and the reason they do this is to make you give up on learning modeling and just go buy their 3D packs 🙂
Next time, show the whole node setup in at least one frame, so we can pause the video and check if we've done everything correctly. I'm not a native speaker and sometimes is pretty hard to understand what you're saying. Good vid tho
hello beginner question here for anyone who feels like helping…. how do you see the render view with real time changes? When I have render view on it doesn't do anything when I edit the objector even just move it around.
I don't know what Im doing wrong with mine, but Ive made some custom letters using bezier curves and turned them into meshes, extruded them to have a 3d shape and smoothened the surface. Now I have been able to follow your tutorial, but I can't see the material changing at all. Hmmm….Any help much appreciated! Is it something to do with them being bezier curves previously? Have I missed an important step to be able to add these materials?
I was a bit stuck with the controls but all answers are listed in the comments. Guess my technical background helped as the components all make sense to me. Thanks for the tutorial, I like these short and efficient style videos.

Thanks!
This is a pretty bad tutorial video to be honest. It's a good video, but not good as a tutorial one.
For anyone who thinks this is confusing, enable the “Node: Wrangler” add on to be able to press ctrl T and follow along with the video.

Jesus christ, begginers, stop crying and go read the title.
At first thought it wasn't going to work, cause it was all black, but then it worked! Thanks a bunch!
Stick your Ukulele up yours. And also that Xylophone.

hello! how can i change the color of the metal? cant figure out what to mix or adjust
This is a perfect tutorial. YouTube has video controls to pause and slow down. I don't want to hear him talk. I want to watch him work.
