Create a car in blender with cycles

In this tutorial i’m showing how to create a car in blender with the cycles render engine. It was my first time and i didn’t had any knowledge about car modeling. I think that is a great point for a lot of people that are in the same position and good to know that it is possible to make a car from skratch with no knowledge. I can tell you some interesting learning points.

  1. hi! thanks for the video, it was really helpfull. I was wondering if you could tell me how i can use an image to paint the surface of the figure, the fact is that i need to use the 3D figure in an other program wich is call visTable, it use 3D figure to make diferent fabric modelsin 3D, but i havent been able to load up the figure that i made in blender with the color that i want. i want the same colors that apear in render but it just looks grey like in solid mode. Thanks

  2. Very nice man! specialy on your first car model. Im looking for a good blue print now! cars really arnt what i want to model, but … i think to learn something you should learn what your not planning on using much to give you the edge for wat you Are in fact after. Thanks for taking the time to put it up!

  3. Thanks for the tutorial, may I suggest that in future, you enable the key indicator thingymajig, so we can see what keys you are pressing, I've watched a few various tutorials so I learnt a few of the short cuts, but had I not, this would have been reasonably hard to follow.
    Great tutorial otherwise.

  4. 13:36. I tried to do this part several times, but have failed. Do you know the steps to merging the planes and then moving them at once? I am trying 3d modeling for the first time, so this stuff is not second nature to me. Thank you.

  5. @ Kun Houssem – Thanx, normally i should never spend time on car modeling, but there were a lot of requests so i thought it was a good idea to try it out and show it from a viewport as a beginner ๐Ÿ™‚

My profession is environment modeling, so after this one you can expect a lot of that stuff on blenderpedia!
