  1. Im trying to make glass in blender with Cycles. In the senario I have, the light is right next to the glass. I cannot find out why the glass that I render is not see through. The light hits the glass and the bright light renders onto the glass as if its an opaque object. I have tried fiddling with IOR and such but to no luck. Got an idea off the top of your head as to what it is im missing?

  2. Another great tutorial Andrew. I hit a problem at around 15.50: when I try to enter the shard group into the render group box "duplicate group". There's nothing in the drop down and when I type it in, the name doesn't go in (instead of going black it disappears). I appear to have followed your instruction accurately to that point. Any idea what might be wrong?
