  1. @sslaxx They (Refractive Software) didn't get legally uppity, but verbally, accusing Brecht of stealing code from his time working for them.

Then the source code was realeased. Nine months later, Refractive Sofware has still been silent. You can't get much better proof of code originality than that.

Cycles does borrow some code from other open source projects. Legally, of course.

  2. @lucasB823 He didn't. He got the model from somewhere else.

If you want to learn how to model, practice practice practice and one day it will all make sense. Modeling is half thinking, half doing (In my experience).

  3. @brechtvanlommel yeah this is blenders own code . Haters gonna hate . Still it will be a great addition to the all mighty Blender ๐Ÿ˜€ . 2.6 is going to rock the world : camera tracking , gpu rendering , that mesh paiting thing , bmesh , A true all in one package. Still won't get you in the industry too quick ๐Ÿ˜€ . Best bet is to be rich , afford college and learn 3ds max there with luck if your good youll get hired after you finish it ๐Ÿ™ . pay to LIVE
