  1. I'm not sure if Mark answers questions on here but here goes: How did you know to set your aperture at f/18? Also, you talked only about slowing down your shutter speed, but not about adjusting the aperture. Why one over the other? They should produce the same result, right?

  2. 9 years passed so fast and I come back to see this vdo and i would like to say thank you Mark Wallace for your vdo. Now Im a professional wedding photographer in Thailand and Cinematographer as well. This is a good basic photography and it can bring you to professional finally. Love you Mark. 1 on 1 is my MASTER OF PHOTOGRAPHY Thank you.

  3. I wonder how did you manage to show the model only while everything else at the back is completely black. I tried doing this, yet I can still see other objects at the back. Do I have to change my ISO settings? I used 400 ISO. Or is it related to the lens I am using? Currently using 18-55

  4. For a beginner the Canon T4i is a fantastic camera with a bunch of features for a very small capital investment. If you have enough for a high quality EF-L lens, I would suggest buying the 24-70mm F2.8L If you don't have that kind of money, consider buying a t4i kit on ebay for about $900 with 2 EFS lenses. Personally I would rather have 1 quality lens that you can keep forever and use with a pro camera. Don't invest too much in the body, invest in the glass. If money is no object- get both

  5. Hello there, do you know "photo SFX art" (google it)? On their website you can watch a nice free video explaining the right way to make fantastic photographs. It helped Joe to take pictures which have that wow-effect while you take a look at them. Hopefully it will help you also…
