  1. You mean when you subdivide the head, you want to use a pre-made texture file. Yes you can do that. That's a good thing to show in a future Maya tutorial. Using the UV Texture Editor I am still learning, but I know enough to be able to do it. A drawback to doing this is that you have to do each individual square, as far as I know.
