Export Videos from Premiere Pro, Upload Them to Instagram

[ad_1]

Instagram hit the scene in 2010 as a photo-sharing app for iOS. It didn’t take long for the app to explode in popularity, gaining one million registered users in just two months and ultimately being acquired by Facebook in April 2012 for $1 billion in cash and stock. Today Instagram has over 700 million registered users, and video is becoming increasingly popular on the platform.

In 2013 the company announced “Video on Instagram,” allowing users to upload 15-second video clips via their mobile device. Just last year they increased the video clip duration to 60 seconds, but you still, however, can only upload video via the app on your mobile device. This makes it particularly hard if you’re using professional editing software in a desktop workflow. While Adobe Premiere Pro has export presets for Facebook, Twitter, Vimeo, and YouTube, they still haven’t included anything for Instagram. I assume it’s not far off, mainly due to the fact that it is currently one of the most popular social media platforms. Until then, check out this tutorial on how to get videos from Premiere Pro to Instagram. It includes information on configuring the proper export settings, as well as how to get video files from your desktop to your mobile device.
